Liam-TarandijLeeds Valve is proud to sponsor Liam Tarandij, local British Junior National Judo Champion, in his effort to become the best in the world.

At only 14 years old Liam is already one of Yorkshire's most promising young sports stars; awarded the Halifax Evening Courier Junior Sports Person of the Year 2009 and highly rated by Judo Excellence Coach, Jim McKeever, "pound for pound he's the best in the world"

His talent has been recognised by the England TalentDevelopment Squad with his selection to represent England, training and competing worldwide. In order to do this, Liam needs to raise £4000 and is raising funds through donations, fundraising nights, auctions and importantly, has been sponsored to the tune of £250 by Leeds Valve who are part of the Flow Group. John Wall, Managing Director said "we are pleased again to play a part in developing young sporting talent".

Currently Liam is ranked No.1 in Great Britain and remains undefeated as the British Junior National Champion since 2006. To date, Liam has won an outstanding 74 medals of which 58 are gold. His most recent addition to the impressive collection was gold in February 2010, taking just 7 seconds to give himself 10 points on the national rankings table.

Flow Group are also sponsoring teenage race ace Adam Parsley - supporting him through his karting career and taking the big step up into cars to join a new team engineered by F1 2009 world champion Jenson Button's former mentor Roger Parkes'. As well as the current champ, other big names such as Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna and Mika Hakinnen all started their careers in Formula Ford.
